And the ENERGY STAR Savings Continues...

PA UTILITY COMPANY HELPS YOU GET THE MOST FROM YOUR NEW HOMEenergy-star-logo
Many people in Pennsylvania are looking to buy a home, but are somewhat put off by the rising costs. Theyhave noticed that it’s not just home prices that are rising, but also heating and cooling costs. PPL Electric Utilities has developed a rebate program that can save you up to $1,500 when you purchase an ENERGY STAR rated manufactured home.

AREN’T THE REBATES FOR THE MANUFACTURERS, INSTEAD OF BUYERS?
While there are incentives for manufacturers, these rebates are for home buyers! The new manufactured home must be an ENERGY STAR rated home in order to qualify. Make sure your manufacturer is a participating contractor and if they aren’t, it’s a simple matter to become one.  Have them follow the steps on the Participating Contractor Agreement. Once they are enrolled in the program, they will be listed on the PPL Electric Website as a participating contractor and you will receive your rebate.  Everybody wins!

Not only will you save on your new home purchase, but you will save money over time by having your monthly utilities decrease due to these homes requiring less energy for heating, cooling and water heating. Because of the increased efficiency, these manufactured homes retain a higher resale value over time, resulting in a better investment for the future. Purchasing an ENERGY STAR labeled manufactured home qualifies the homeowner for a $1,200 rebate from PPL Electric, and if you install a qualifying heat pump (15-16 SEER air-source) you could earn an additional $200-$300. Download all the details at PPL Electric Rebate.
If you are a PPL customer call Melissa Stambaugh, Program Coordinator, at 877-486-9204 to find out about this, and other, opportunities you have for saving money.
