Upcoming Building Code Changes

As part of our commitment to help manufacturers and builders create the safest homes and make the inspection process as painless as possible, NTA stays on top of all the latest code changes nationwide.  Some of the more recent and important ones to be aware of are listed below.

Delaware
Delaware has recently updated their Plumbing Code
2015 International Plumbing Code with Amendments (Effective: 8/01/2015)
Please note; counties may adopt alternate building, plumbing and electrical codes


Minnesota
2015 Minnesota Plumbing Code (Adopted July 27, 2015; Effective January 23, 2016)

Based on 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code with Amendments

New Jersey
New Jersey will adopt the following codes with amendments effective September 21, 2015. Manufacturers will have 180 days to update their compliance assurance documents to comply with the new code provisions.

2015 International Building Code
2015 International Residential Code
2015 International Mechanical Code
2015 International Fuel Gas Code
2015 International Energy Conservation Code
2014 National Electrical Code

New Jersey has proposed to adopt the 2015 edition of the PHCC National Standard Plumbing Code which is expected to be adopted later this year.


Oklahoma
Oklahoma will adopt the following Commercial codes with amendments effective November 01, 2015.

2015 International Building Code
2015 International Fire Code
2015 International Mechanical Code
2015 International Fuel Gas Code
2015 International Plumbing Code
2014 National Electrical Code
