Building Safety Month

Building Safety Month

NTA’s focus on training and safety is due to the importance of not only knowing the building codes, but understanding why following them is so important. That’s why NTA is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Building Safety Month. Building Safety Month is a public awareness campaign held throughout May to raise awareness of what is involved in creating safe, sustainable, affordable and resilient structures.
Each year the ICC (International Code Council) chooses a theme for their Building Safety Month campaign. Last year it was Resilient Communities Start with Building Codes. This year, they have chosen “Building Codes: Driving Growth through Innovation, Resilience and Safety. This year’s theme will be supported by four weekly themes:

  • Week One, Building Solutions for All Ages
  • Week Two, The Science Behind the Codes
  • Week Three, Learn from the Past, Build for Tomorrow
  • Week Four, Building Codes: A Smart Investment
